Learn more about hearing loss and the support that is available thanks to a specialist charity’s volunteers.
Action on Hearing Loss, which has a sensory service in Southend Court, Woodford Green, is inviting community groups, social clubs and faith organisations to book one of the charity’s free speakers.
The volunteers can also provide tips about the best ways to communicate with someone who has difficulty hearing, as well as sign-posting products and services which can help deaf or hard of hearing people.
Action on Hearing Loss’s Joanne Pickard said: “Our volunteers will be delighted to speak at local groups across Redbridge to raise awareness about the importance of looking after your hearing and taking quick action, as well as the benefits of hearing aids, lipreading and assistive equipment.”
