Miniature ponies, face painting and a bouncy castle were some of the fun activities on offer at a care home’s summer fete on Saturday.

Harts House Care Home, in Harts Grove, Woodford Green, held its annual summer party for residents, as well as their friends and family.

Guests enjoyed food from the barbecue, the fantastic singer Hollie Blue and a variety of stalls, including a tombola and a lucky dip.

The miniature ponies were particularly popular, with the little horses donning sunglasses while playing with the residents.

Senior lead event co-ordinator for Bupa, Tajá Rosie Young, told the Recorder: “The day was a true success, with so many members of the community, friends and families enjoying themselves.

“The weather was truly on our side and it was great to see the residents of the home smiling, singing along and event a few up dancing.”
