A charity dedicated to improving the lives of women in the community is moving to new premises.
Awaaz will relocate to the Loxford Children’s Centre in August after running services at the Loxford Polyclinic for five years.
Members had used the space for activities such as drop-ins, counselling sessions for domestic violence victims, yoga, chair exercises and Bollywood dance.
The group said farewell to polyclinic staff and patients last Wednesday by organising a special lunch.
Awaaz’s chair, Bushra Tahir, said: “We will miss the partnership of the polyclinic as it had almost become a part of Awaaz.”
Members also visited the children’s centre, in Ilford Lane, to meet staff and take a look around.
They will begin running services from the site on August 6.
Bushra added: “We are very thankful to Loxford Children’s Centre for helping us at the time when we most needed it and saving our prestige to again carry on with the good and valued work we have been contributing to the society.
“We are very enthusiastic and excited to make the borough of Redbridge a safer and happier place to live.”
