Car accidents in South Woodford and Woodford Green have left two women hurt.
The first woman was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone after a smash involving a red Mini and a silver Renault Megane, at the junction of Epping New Road and High Road, Woodford Green at 8.40pm yesterday.
In an unrelated incident, a female pedestrian suffered head injuries and a fractured leg when she was struck by a high-side white van just before 6am this morning near to Charlie Brown’s roundabout on Chigwell Road, South Woodford. The injured woman was taken to the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.
Police closed between the road at 6.20am, causing delays for many rush-hour travellers.
