A woman has been taken to hospital as a “priority” after being hit by a car in Newbury Park this afternoon.
The 39-year-old pedestrian was hit in Eastern Avenue, at its junction with Ley Street, at 2.06pm.
A motorbike responder arrived on the scene of the accident in under three minutes after the first 999 call was made, with an ambulance crew arriving shortly after.
The woman has been taken to Queen’s Hospital with a leg injury and a minor facial injury.
