A women believed to be in her 50s had to be cut from her car by the fire brigade following a crash last night in Redbridge.
The incident happened on the A406 near Redbridge roundabout just after 9.30pm.
An hour later the road was still closed and a fire engine, along with about seven police cars, were still on the scene.
The woman was taken to the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said the woman was treated for neck injuries.
