Woman, 24, missing from Ilford mental health ward

Police have issued an urgent appeal to find a young woman missing from an Ilford mental health ward.

Karis Braithwaite, 24, was last seen at 8pm yesterday in Goodmayes Hospital, according to a Met Police spokeswoman.

She reportedly told another patient she intends to go to Beachy Head in Sussex, leaving behind her mobile phone and taking “no sufficient clothing” for the weather.

Karis is described as slim with dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Officers believe she may travelling by public transport.

Police ask anyone who sees her or knows where she is to call 101 quoting reference 18MIS007166 or Missing People on 116 000.
