Youngsters enjoy the light night event

Residents found it was ‘all light on the night’ in Barkingside as the annual family event returned to the borough with a very special guest.

Light Night 2016 saw national treasure Winnie the Pooh travel from One Hundred Acre Wood to Ken Aston Square, High Road, Barkingside, on Saturday.

Residents got crafty at the arts and crafts sessions in Fullwell Cross Library and there was a judging session to find the best Tigger, Winnie and Eeyore.

Families also enjoyed seeing Winnie, Christopher Robin, Piglet and Eeyore visit Buckingham Palace, on a very special trip.

In an episode called Winnie the Pooh and the Royal Birthday, the young explorers travelled to deliver a very special birthday present to the Queen.
