A Japanese sushi restaurant has been nominated for best takeaway in north London, in a national awards.

Sumo Fresh, in High Street, Wanstead, will find out on December 5 whether it has triumphed in the 2016 British Takeaway Awards.

The sushi joint will be hoping to go one better than last year, when it was also a finalist.

The ten restaurants which got nominated, received the highest number of votes from the public.

The power is still in your hands, as readers can once again vote for their favourite, and the top five will make it to the ceremony at The Savoy hotel in December.

The winner receives £1,000 and a free signup with Just Eat. Sumo Fresh became Redbridge’s first sushi restaurant when it opened in 2013, and has delighted the borough’s foodies ever since.
