A hard working group from Woodford Green were joined by Ilford North MP Lee Scott when they volunteered at one of the borough’s parks, to help improve the area for visitors.
The Roding Action Team, including organisers Ben Caine and Lisa Morgan, took part in the clear up day on Thursday at Roding Valley Park, Chigwell Road, in the hope it will inspire others to do the same.
Mr Caine, 22, said: “It’s important to volunteer and I would love to help promote this and other council projects in order to get others involved.”
Mrs Morgan said: “The action team is committed to ensuring Redbridge remains a clean and safe place to live.”
MP Lee Scott added: “I am very thankful to those that came out to make a difference to our area.”
