A musician has opened the doors to a new youth centre to inspire children to learn all about music.

Rychus Ryter, 24, of Chadwell Health, welcomed more than 50 children to the grand opening of I Am Youth in High Road, Chadwell Heath.

He said: “Music is a way of showing how they feel and expressing themselves so when they see singers and musicians performing on TV, they will be able to say “I can do that” and feel really proud.”

I Am Youth will be where children get the chance to learn how to play different musical instruments as well as create their own songs.

Rychus said: “Hopefully this will be something that kids will enjoy and learn a lot from.”
