A veteran peace campaigner will visit Wanstead on Monday to argue against the renewal of the UK’s Trident nuclear weapons system.
Bruce Kent, the former general secretary of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, is visiting Wanstead House, The Green, between 7 and 9.30pm.
A decision on whether to build a new fleet of Vanguard submarines, which carry nuclear missiles, is due to be taken after the next general election in 2015.
Mr Kent was also involved in setting up the Campaign Against The Arms Trade.
