A 30-year-old man detained under the Mental Health Act at Seven Kings station this morning had been walking on the tracks.
The British Transport Police (BTP) was called to the station in High Road to reports of a trespasser at about 8.35am.
Together with officers from the Metropolitan Police, the trespasser, from Brentwood, was detained and taken by the London Ambulance Service to “a place of safety”.
A BTP spokeswoman said: “Officers were clear of the track by 8.45am.”
