PUBLISHED: 17:12 28 March 2014 | UPDATED: 17:33 28 March 2014

Police cordoned off part of Forest Road, Barkingside, after reports of a lorry crashing into the railway bridge.

The driver is believed to be unharmed after crashing in to the central line bridge near Fairlop station.

London Ambulance Service was not called to the scene.

Congestion was being reported in the area but a Transport for London spokesman said that the situation was now all clear.

They added that checks of the bridge have been made and it has been deemed safe, so the railway line should not be affected.
