A 40-year-old cyclist has been taken to hospital with head injuries following a collision with a car in Winston Way, Ilford this afternoon.
Ambulance and police rushed to the scene just after 5.40pm, with a ambulance crew arriving within two minutes of the call.
A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: “The man was concious but had suffered head injuries. He was treated and stabilised at the scene before being taken to Queens Hospital, Romford.”
A purple mountain bike and traces of blood could be seen at the scene, near Richmond Way, as bystanders gathered following the collision.
