A 24-year-old man is refusing to get down from the roof of a house in Ilford.
The house is in The Drive on the corner of Endsleigh Gardens.
Two police cars, an ambulance and responder vehicle, as well as two fire engines are all on the scene.
Acting Insp Paul Jameson said: “We came here to arrest someone for domestic assault this afternoon. As we entered the front door, the 24-year-old male went through a rear window on to a pitched roof where he’s sitting as we speak.”
The emergency services were called at about 3pm and a cordon encompassing half of Endsleigh Gardens was put in place. This was then widened to include The Drive from De Vere Gardens to Kensington Gardens.
