Thirteen is not such an unlucky number for 13 Year 13 students at a school in Woodford Green who have all been accepted to Oxford or Cambridge universities.
The students from Bancroft’s School, High Road have all been offered places at the world renown universities subject to their exam results.
The lucky 13 will take subjects ranging from engineering and natural sciences to law and land economy.
Headteacher Mary Ireland said: “We are delighted that the hard work and dedication these students have shown over a number of years has been so richly rewarded and we wish them every success for the future.”
