Almost 500 Uber drivers, and their families, enjoyed a fun day put on by the private hire company on Sunday afternoon.

Staff from across Redbridge visited The Willows, in Forest Road, Barkingside, where the event was held as a reward for their hard work.

Uber, a minicab mobile app, provided lunch and children’s activities for their staff’s families, which included lots of balloons, zorb balls and a huge bouncy castle.

Drivers also got to talk and meet some of the company’s management team, and ask in depth questions about working for Uber.

Uber London’s general manager Tom Elvidge said he thought it was a “great and fun event”.

He added: “I want to thank all of our drivers for the hard work they do in helping Londoners get from point A to point B.”
