A driver was cut free from the wreckage of her car after an accident in Green Lane, Ilford at about 2.45pm yesterday.
Fire crews from Ilford cut the roof off a dark green car to release the 41-year-old woman after the collision between two vehicles near to South Park Drive.
She was taken by ambulance to Queen’s hospital, Romford, as a priority.
A second person who was travelling in a blue hatchback car was taken to King George Hospital, Barley Lane, Goodmayes after the incident.
A section of the road, outside the Esso garage, was closed while emergency services carried out the rescue and cleared the area.
