A duo was charged yesterday with false imprisonment and kidnapping in connection with the death of a Brownstock festival goer last year,
Gregory Maxwell, 32, of Masefield Crescent, Romford, and Brian Atkins, 49, of Gordon Road, Ilford, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court, for the false imprisonment and kidnapping of Australian Paul Wickerson, last year on August 31.
Paul was hit by a car and died in Lower Burnham Road, Cold Norton, after he was ejected from the Brownstock festival and escorted off the site.
The case has now been sent for trial at Chelmsford Crown Court.
They will appear on November 3 for a plea and case management hearing.
