The middle lane of the A12 in Newbury Park was closed briefly last night (Tuesday, February 20) after two cars were involved in a traffic collision.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed officers were called to the eastbound carriageway outside Newbury Park Station at 7.12pm, to reports of two cars involved in a collision.

He told the Recorder: “One car was left at the roadside as it had been badly damaged, but there are no reports of any injuries.

“Both drivers stopped and exchanged insurance information, and no police report has been filed.”

Transport for London confirmed the A12’s middle lane was closed for approximately 20 minutes while emergency services responded to the incident.
