Parents’ paintings of people with blackened faces evoking the suffering of the recent Turkish mining tragedy will go on show at Mossford Green Primary School today.
The “Black Soma” exhibition, organised by Turkish artist Filiz Kahraman, follows the disaster last month in which more than 300 people died.
Photos of people with blackened faces have been sent in from around the world, and the exhibition is of pictures drawn from submissions by Ms Kahraman and parents of children at the Barkingside school.
• 3.30-4.30pm in the school’s Olympic Hall. Entry is free; voluntary donations will be sent to the families of victims.
