Residents from across Redbridge are invited to try their hand at linocutting, and pay respect to their LGBT+ heroes, at a special event this week.

The printmaking workshop, which is being run by Be Smart, Choose Art, will take place at Redbridge Central Library, in Clements Road, Ilford on Saturday from 11am-1.30pm.

The two and a half hour workshop is open to adults and suitable for beginners and all tools and papers are provided.

Participants are invited to bring along a personal source of inspiration such as photos or postcards, and are advised to wear old clothes they would not mind getting paint on.

Everyone is encouraged to try and bring to life their own LGBT inspirations and artist Jodie Sadler will also be on hand to offer tips and guidance.

Tickets are £7 per person and the workshop can only operate at a maximum of eight people, so please book in advance by calling 0208 708 2409 or email rhonda.brooks@visionrcl.org.uk.

We look forward to seeing you there!
