Three technicians from Redbridge battled it out against other hopefuls last week to find out who was the best bus engineer in the country.
Tom Leader, Matthew Cubitt and Paul Fordham, who work in the Ley Street Depot, in Ilford, travelled to S&B Automotive Academy in Bristol to take part in the IRTE Skills Challenge.
The team had to overcome a series of technical tasks against others from bus operators nationwide.
Manager Eddie Cross said: “Redbridge will always support any initiative that promotes the wide variety of skills required by today’s leading technicians, and if you can add a fun, competitive element all the better.”
The winning technicians will be announced at an awards ceremony in July.
