The 19-year-old, of Hermon Hill, Wanstead, joined the corps in 2006 after showing an interest in military activities.
The corps is divided into sections called flights and Alexandra is a flight sergeant.
She is now in charge of 40 cadets and looks after their welfare and attendance, as well as making sure everything is running smoothly.
Alexandra, who is sixth-former at Oaks Park High School, Oaks Lane, Newbury Park, said: "It's a big responsibility and it's great to know I'm helping people.
"I always looked up to the flight sergeant when I was younger and I hope I can be a role model to the other cadets."
Sir David, who is President of the Reserve Forces Cadets' Association, congratulated Alexandra, saying: "Your citations were outstanding to listen to and I am sure your parents are very proud of you.
