Three same-sex couples from Redbridge have registered to marry following the change in law to give them the same marital rights as straight couples.
The Marriage (Same-Sex Couples) Act 2013 came into force on March 13, allowing couples of the same sex to marry in the UK for the first time.
Since then, three Redbridge couples have expressed their interest to marry by registering at Queen Victoria House, Cranbrook Road, Barkinside, and one will wed in the coming weeks.
