Three people have been arrested and bailed until November after drugs were found in a speeding car.

Police made the arrests after stopping a vehicle caught speeding in Snakes Lane East, Woodford Green on August 15 at 3.30pm.

A passenger handed police a bag of class B drugs after the vehicle came to a stop in Ray Lodge Road.

After searching the vehicle, officers also found class A drugs hidden under the driver’s seat.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply.

A man and a woman, both aged 47, were also arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply at a property where drugs and a large quantity of cash were found following a separate search at an address in Bush Road, Buckhurst Hill.

All three were conveyed to an east London police station and bailed to a date in late November pending further enquiries.
