Summer Fun – Fitness for girls

Loxford Leisure Centre, Loxford Lane, Ilford, Saturday, July 8, to Saturday, August 19, 11.30am-1.30pm

A family fitness programme to encourage a love of exercising in girls (over 11) and women of all abilities.

Activities will include Zumba, dance and basketball.

Weekly costs range between £4 and £6, with seven-session bundles between £35 and £12.

Musical theatre summer course: Hairspray Jr

Kenneth More Theatre, Oakfield Road, Ilford, Monday, July 24 to Saturday, July 29, 10.30am-3pm

The theatre is looking for energetic young people, aged between seven and 18, who love to sing, dance and act to be a part of this summer course.

Participants will be staging Music Theatre’s official version of Hairspray Jr, with the workshops culminating in a full performance on the final day.
