More than 2,000 people, including The Only Way is Essex stars, turned out for a fun day in support of a children’s hospice.

Gemma Collins, Billi Mucklow and Frankie Essex helped raise more than �20,000 for Haven House at the day in Repton Park, Manor Road, Woodford Green.

Mike Palfreman, chief executive of the charity in High Road, Woodford Green, said: “We are really pleased that the residents have shown so much support for Haven House and raised such a fabulous sum.”

Activities during the day included an auction, football tournament and music. Mr Palfreman added: “We rely heavily on the generosity and support of the local community, to carry out our work with life-limited children and their families in the local area.”
