Television presenter, naturalist and comedian Bill Oddie was in Snaresbrook on Saturday talking about how wildlife can be found in the most unexpected urban places.
Mr Oddie was at Forest School, in College Place, with the British Naturalists’ Association for their annual conference.
He was joined by fellow BBC star Chris Baines, who presented Countryfile, and James Hitchmough, who designed the planting at the Olympic Park.
Following the talks, school pupils were invited to get involved in workshops through the day.
British Naturalists’ Association chairman Roger Tabor said the conference has been held in Snaresbrook in previous years.
He added:
“We have been invited back so I’m sure we will be here again.”
