A 17-year-old remains on police bail for trespassing while recovering from “serious electrical burns” in hospital, after he was found near the railway line at Ilford station.
The teenager, from Chadwell Heath, was readmitted to hospital on Tuesday of last week after sustaining “life-changing injuries” in the incident on May 27 near Cranbrook Road.
He was arrested in June and released on bail until he is discharged from the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
Though the exact circumstances of how he was injured are not yet known, it is believed he received the shock from the overhead line and fell from a stationary train.
