Teenager denies murdering 16-year-old Charlie Kutyauripo at a birthday party in Woodford Bridge

A 16-year-old boy from Seven Kings has denied murdering teenager Charlie Kutyauripo at a birthday party.

The boy – who cannot be named for legal reasons – appeared at the Old Bailey for a plea and case management hearing this morning.

Former King Solomon High School student Charlie, 16, died after being stabbed at Ashton Playing Fields, Chigwell Road, Woodford Bridge, on January 9.

The defendant was arrested in Margate and charged three weeks later.

He was remanded in custody for trial on May 16.
