A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with an incident where an 18-year-old boy was stabbed in broad daylight in The Drive, Ilford, on September 9.

Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of affray and grievous bodily harm (GBH) yesterday.

He has been bailed pending further enquires to a date in mid-December.

The incident occurred just after 1.10pm on September 9 in The Drive, in Ilford, which is near two primary schools.

The victim was taken to an east London hospital with non life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged.
