A school hosted dozens of netball and football teams in a sport festival.
A total of 16 primary schools’ netball teams competed against each other at Chigwell School, High Road, Chigwell, but the school’s team A came out the strongest.
Sheila Bint, who organised the netball matches, said the event was the occasion of “super displays of netball”.
“The festival gave the girls a wonderful opportunity to get a morning of intensive play at the very start of the season, hopefully creating high levels of enthusiasm for the coming season,” she added.
Meanwhile, the school also hosted the annual football festival, with 21 teams from local primary schools taking part.
Head of Football at Chigwell School Andrew Bruce said: “The quality of football played was excellent and it was great to see all the players expressing themselves in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
“A big thank you is owed to all the schools that took part and everyone who worked hard behind the scenes to make the event such a success.”
