Families flocked to the High Road in their numbers to enjoy a free pop up summer garden in Ilford this Bank Holiday weekend.
For families looking for summer entertainment, it was an event to remember as a section of the High Road transformed into a picket fenced grassed area, over the last two Saturdays in August
The free event, organised by the Ilford Business Improvement District (BID), was packed with activities including giant Jenga, face painting, stilt walkers, a graffiti artist and more
Zara Swale, Explore Learning Centre director said: “This was the first pop up garden event in Ilford and we were really excited to get involved.
“We love meeting families in the community and this was the perfect event for everyone in the area!
“The children really enjoyed the games and the parents relaxed and chatted to the local businesses, including us!
“Even though the sun wasn’t always shining, it was still a fun day in Ilford!”
