Redbridge’s Mayor had an insight into a charity helping stroke survivors as it celebrated its 20th anniversary.

Cllr Barbara White was joined by members and former members of Different Strokes East London, at the celebration held at Redbridge Sports and leisure centre.

Caroline George-Gregory, who helps her brother Steve co-ordinate the group, said: “It was fabulous.

“It’s an area the mayor didn’t know much about but was very impressed with the work we do.”
