Five supermarket staff got to experience a day at the London 2012 Paralympic Games after they were nominated by colleagues.
Staff at Sainsbury’s, Tanners Lane, Barkingside selected Brenda Kemp, Haidee Wise, Karen Morgan, John Crotty, Mark Wilson and James Binder to join 5,000 colleagues at the Olympic Park on Monday.
The group had guaranteed access to three wheelchair basketball matches on the day thanks to Sainsbury’s, which is one of the official sponsors.
Karen Morgan said: “I’ve really enjoyed helping local people to understand more about the Paralympic Games and it’s a great opportunity to meet other colleagues from across the country and learn about their Paralympic experience”.
