Singer Stacey Solomon recreated her X Factor audition at the latest Haven House Children’s Hospice charity evening which saw more than £17,000 raised.
The mother-of-one, who found fame after coming third in the ITV talent competition in 2009, treated guests at the Woodford Green hospice’s second Autumn Soiree to a rendition of What a Wonderful World.
She was just one of a number of celebrity supporters who attended the event at the Waltham Abbey Marriott Hotel in Old Shire Lane which included actor Danny Dyer and ‘Allo ‘Allo! actress Vicki Michelle.
The Only Way is Essex star James “Arg” Argent also took time out from his busy filming schedule to take to the stage with the Atlantic Band to sing Frank Sinatra classic That’s Life.
Before the performances guests enjoyed a champagne reception while being entertained by saxophonist Sue Floyd, magician Ravi Mayar and a novelty photo booth.
A three course meal followed before an auction was held which saw lots including a trip to Paris, tickets to a red carpet film premiere and VIP tickets to the O2 Arena go under the hammer.
The money raised will go toward funding the hospice’s care services and equipment.
Haven House events manager Hayley Bridge said: “The feedback from the event has been extremely positive with many guests saying they can’t wait until the next one.
“Around £17,000 was raised at the auction on the night, which along with ticket sales, means the event has raised a significant amount of money to help the hospice continue its excellent work with life limited children.”
The hospice gave thanks to Dilshan Transport Group Ltd and Elite Team Security Services for their “generous” support of the event.
