Members of St Peter’s Aldborough Hatch, in Aldborough Road, and their friends enjoyed a summer lunch on Sunday, August 12.

Linda Wright, chairman of the church’s social and fundraising sub-committee, said: “The lunch was an enjoyable occasion and the opportunity for members and their friends to meet socially.

“All the food was prepared by members of St. Peter’s.

“In addition, we raised £142 for church funds whilst a collection after the meal means we are able to send £85 to Haven House Children’s Hospice.”

The meal, which takes place annually, included a cold starter followed by a buffet and a range of summer desserts.

The church is also holding a coffee morning and bring and buy sale on Saturday, September 8 from 10am to noon.
