The concierge of a block of apartments has been recognised for his hard work after bagging a top award.

Chris Adedayo, 46, who works at the Queen Mary’s Gate development in High Street, South Woodford, was voted Concierge of the Year at flat owners magazine News on the Block’s Property Management Awards.

Chris, who is employed by Consort Property Management, has been helping homeowners settle in and has been on hand to deal with on-site issues for seven years.

The dedicated concierge’s work has been highlighted with him even coming in on his day off to clear snow from the flat’s entrance.

Head of Consort Sue Petri said: “Chris has proven himself to be a real asset to our business, so we’re delighted that Chris has been recognised in these awards.”

Chris was awarded at a black-tie event at the Troxy theatre in Stepney.

Chris said: “It really means a lot to me to win the award and I’m very grateful to have been nominated by my line manager. I really love my job – if the residents are happy then I’m happy.”
