South Woodford family threatened by knife-wielding burglars

Four men wearing balaclavas threatened a resident and his child with a knife during a burglary.

Police were called to Cadogan Gardens, South Woodford, on February 1, after the suspects entered a property.

A Met Police spokeswoman said: “The male homeowner disturbed the burglars who fled from his home.

“They were all wearing balaclavas, one was holding a 3ft metal pipe and some sort of bottle.

“Another suspect was also holding a metal pipe and a knife and threatened the male and his children.”

The men drove off in a CLC Mercedes.
