A family of eight was rescued from their South Woodford home this morning after a fire.
The emergency services were called to a detached house in The Drive at 7.30am when a blaze broke out on the ground floor.
Firefighters helped five people escape while two others made it outside before they arrived.
The family were all treated for smoke inhalation and three members were taken to Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone.
The fire was under control by 8.46am.
