The snow has forced a second round of school closures today


THE snowy weather has caused a second day of disruption in Redbridge, with a clutch of schools closed.

Barley Lane Primary School, Huxley Drive, Chadwell Heath and St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, Canon Avenue, Chadwell Heath are both shut today.

Meanwhile Chadwell Heath Primary School, High Road, Chadwell Heath is closed because of staffing issues.

Canon Palmer Catholic School, Aldborough Road South, is opening at 9.45am today while pupils at Beal High School, Woodford Bridge Road, Redbridge, are asked to get into school for a 9.30am start.

Heating problems have forced shut both Manford Primary School, Manford Way, Hainault and Snaresbrook Primary School nursery, Meadow Walk, South Woodford.

Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholice Primary school nursery, Chestnut Drive, Wanstead, is also closed.
