A Snaresbrook school put on one its “biggest” productions ever across three “spectacular” nights last week.

There were more than 50 cast members in Forest School’s Zigger Zagger, originally written by the British playwright Peter Terson.

Zigger Zagger tells the story of a group of football hooligans and their lives in the 80s.

Humayon Pramanik, 30, the school’s head of communications, said: “This was the biggest play, in terms of cast members, that the school has ever done.

“The numbers on stage made it more spectacular - there was always something going on which was great.”

The play was Mandy Mcllwaine’s first major play as Forest School director of drama.

Mr Pramanik added: “She just produced something that was absolutely brilliant.”
