Mental health charity The Sky Sharma Foundation held an event at Redbridge Central Library, in Clements Road, on Monday, September 10.

Among the organisations were disabilities charity One Place East, the Redbridge Faith Forum and Redbridge Healthwatch.

Sandeep Saib and Tony Edwards shared their experiences suffering suicidal thoughts.

Counsellor and psychotherapist Nina Mitchell, from Cherry Tree Therapy Centre, spoke of the importance of communicating these issues with others to overcome them.

Director Neelam Sharma said: “Overall we had a very successful day with lots of visitors at the stalls and audience listening to speeches.

She added: “We aim to continue our work with other mental health organisations and hope to hold more events as such to create the much needed awareness and help sufferers gain the help they deserve.”
