A signal failure at Goodmayes has led to delays on trains between Shenfield and London Liverpool Street.
Disruption on the line is expected until at least 10.30am with delays of up to 20 minutes as well as cancellations and alterations to services.
Greater Anglia relinquished the line to TfL yesterday ahead of the Crossrail service opening next year.
