Archant

Calling all ghastly ghosts, wicked witches and spooky spiders in Redbridge.

If you are going trick or treating tonight, don’t be the vampire that no one wants to invite in.

Before you head out, check a map to see the families that are welcoming Halloween Guests.

Nextdoor, a private social network for neighbourhoods has brought back their Treat Map for the second year.

It’s a way of showing which houses in your area are happy to welcome trick and treaters, making family outings a lot easier.

Krish Jeyakumar of Eastern Avenue, Gants Hill said: “It can be a difficult time when children want to go out trick or treating, but the parents don’t to know where to go, not wanting to annoy neighbours.

“By signing up and logging in, you can mark your house as accepting trick or treaters or not, meaning that your neighbours know whether they’re welcome to knock for Halloween treats.”
