Second arrest following Chigwell shooting

A second man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting in Chigwell.

Kyiese Waithe, 21, of Queens Road, west London, was arrested on Friday and was charged with possessing a firearm with intend to endanger life.

He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

On Saturday, July 11, police were called to an address in Limes Avenue after 10pm where a man was found with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

The victim, a man in his 20s, is said to be in a stable condition.

Another man, Daniel Edmondson, 23, of Copperfield, Chigwell, appeared in court on Tuesday charged with possessing a firearm with intend to endanger life and appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday).

He was also charged with affray and possessing a bladed article.

Edmondson entered no plea and the case was sent to Chelmsford Crown Court.

He was remanded in custody to appear for trial on September 21.
