FOUR teachers are joining staff and children at a school in China.
The group from Gearies Junior School, Gantshill Crescent, Gants Hill, which includes headteacher Anupe Hanch, are taking part in an international learning project, which will see them go to Fang Ciao Di International school in Beijing.
Pupils have been making books, which the teachers will take with them to show their Chinese counterparts about life in an English school, and staff and children are drawing up questions they want to ask.
Mrs Hanch said: “Our children at Gearies are fantastic, but we are always looking for ways to improve the school.
“This is an invaluable opportunity for our teachers to give our children the chance to forge an international link with Fang Ciao Di school.”
