Sainsbury’s in Barkingside handed a £2,000 cheque to John Bramston Primary School for some timber-shivering new playground toys this morning.
A “pirate ship” climbing frame is among the furniture the Newcastle Avenue school plans to build.
As well as helping raise the cash, staff from Sainsbury’s in Tanners Lane got stuck in with repainting the playground over the summer holidays.
Store manager Chris Wager handed over the money during a school assembly.
